Initiative Title: Internship Program
Description of Initiative:
Established program with the Technical Prep department at Massena High
School to offer training for interns with the goal of working in radio.
One student interned with us in 2004.
2. Year: 2004
Initiative Title: SeawayHelpWanted.com
Description of Initiative:
Co-founding stations for Regional Help Wanted online job site where
employers post help wanted ads and candidates can post resumes and apply
for jobs. Cluster stations contribute more than $20,000 annually in time
promoting the job service for our listeners.
3. Year: 2004
Initiative Title: Job & Career Fair
Description of Initiative:
Worked with the New York State Dept. of Labor and Massena Chamber of
Commerce to present an annual Job & Career Fair at the St. Lawrence
Centre Mall, bringing more than 30 area employers together to meet
potential employees. On air promotion attracted more than 100 potential
employees to meet with employers. Job & Career Fair was held April
2004.

Newspaper ads seeking candidates for sales positions.

Description of Initiative:
Stations ran ads on www.allaccess.com, www.milkmanunlimited.com, and
www.Seawayhelpwanted.com seeking candidates for programming, promotions
and sales positions.

Description of Initiative:
Managers networked with clients or other area employers or business
leaders at Chamber of Commerce and Rotary meetings for referrals of
qualified potential employees.

Initiative Title: St. Lawrence County One Stop Career Center
Description of Initiative:
We provide on the job training for new employees hired through the Career
Center and receive a limited grant or credit.
