Summer Series for ages 5-9 at Nicandri Nature Center

A new summer series for youth ages 5-9 at Nicandri Nature Center.
Participants will explore nature through games, crafts, play, outdoor time, and other fun activities.
Registration is not required. Participants can attend one session or all – camp forms will be required for participants to be filled out the day of the program – please arrive a few minutes early.
Participants should wear play/outdoor clothes than can get dirty, close toed shoes, and a rain coat if it’s raining – we will still go outside! They should also bring a water bottle and snack.
June 29 – Endangered and Extinct! Learn what it means for animals to be endangered and extinct. Talk about dinos. Work together to build your own mini Jurassic park! Games, crafts, activities.
July 13 – Rare Animals. Learn about the rarest wolf in the world and make your own wolf puppet. Play games to learn about food webs and how animals survive in the wild.
July 27 – Tasmanian Devils! Learn about the threats to rare animals with blob tag, crazy crafts, and a look at the science of rare animals.
August 10 – An Age Old Mystery!? – Learn how we know when an animal is extinct with a fun game that has you playing detective!
August 24 – The World’s Dumbest Animal? Be a dodo bird and see if you can survive our extinction game! Interactive and lots of fun.
